For the past 2 weeks the St Luke’s Gymnastics team have practiced their gymnastics routines on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school. Both Mr Tomkins and Mrs Hughes have coached them and helped perfect their routines.
On Thursday we took the team to Siddal Moor where they competed against the other schools in Heywood. They had to perform 3 different Gymnastics disciplines which were:
Body Management
Floor routine
Vault
It is safe to say that on the night all of the girls from year 2 – 6 did us all super proud. They were awarded points for each discipline and on the nigh St Luke’s acquired the most points overall meaning that St Luke’s are the overall winners for Gymnastics in Heywood.
This is an amazing achievement!!!
