Secret Reader
We want to say a really big thank you to Freddie’s mum who was our secret reader today! She read ‘Tabby Mctat’ by Julia Donaldson, who is the author we’re looking at this half term, and we all really enjoyed it.

This morning we had a special visitor in our class. We were very surprised to see Alex’s mum who had come to read us a very funny story called ‘I need a wee!” We really enjoyed the story and we read it again throughout the day. Thank you Alex’s mum!
Today we visited the library again. We loved being able to look at all of the different books and spent a long time reading them carefully with our friends.
This week we’ve have been reading the story of ‘The Little Red Hen’. As a class we decided to help each other make some bread. We read the instructions and then followed them very carefully. After we baked the bread, we had a taste. It was delicious!
This morning we visited Heywood Library. We had a lovely time looking at all the different books and we even got to take one each back to school with us!
This afternoon we have had lots of fun keeping the rhythm with different types of instruments.
Today in Snowdrops we have been doing yoga. We have been practising different poses and stretches alongside the story of the very hungry caterpillar.
Today the children stayed for their dinner for the first time. They were all really sensible and grown up, collecting their own dinner and pudding.
In our topic we have been looking at how we have changed over time. Yesterday we brought in our baby pictures so that we could look at the similarities and differences in ourselves between then and now.
It is eco week in school and this afternoon we have been recycling plastic bottles, making them into beautiful flowers. We cut the bottom of the bottles off and then painted them to look like flowers.
