This week, Year 2 are starting to write a new story called ‘A Christmas Star’. The writing will be based on a BBC Christmas advert.
Today, we had an experience lesson, in which we watched the advert and discussed the events of the story ( our plot points) and the main character’s feelings at various points throughout.
We worked in pairs to act out one of the story plot points and the rest of the class guessed which plot point we were acting out.
We now have a great understanding of the story and lots of vocabulary ideas, ready to begin writing tomorrow.
