This half-term in Art, Year 5 have been studying the topic ‘Every picture tells a story’, which has involved studying various artists and the meaning behind the art work they have created.

During these lessons, we have studied the artist Banksy and created an edited version of one of his pieces that shows a political message, created art using emojis to tell a story, Made ink blot art based on Herman Rorschach art (used for personality testing), and re-created John singer sergeant’s ‘Gassed’ using ourselves and our understanding of the emotions and feelings in the piece.

The children have produced some fantastic Art.
