Over the last couple of weeks, Year 5 have been working together to create some fantastic collage Art, which is proudly being displayed in the school hall.
The children began working in pairs to create colourful “doodles” using pastels and water colours and some black and white pieces for contrast. The children then formed groups, ripped up our art into strips and created collages by gluing them on large pieces of card.
Next, we all practiced drawing animal eyes, which we coloured using pastels and outlined in paint. We then decided together which eyes looked best on which background and added them to the pieces along with other face features.
The results are fantastic! Well done Year 5!
