This week in Year 5 Juniper, we started our new topic called Craft and Design: Architecture. The children this week learned all about observational drawing, scaling, sketching and accuracy. The children enjoyed drawing items from their memory to practice, before they went ahead to draw a house using the techniques they had learned. They added depth to their images by using different pencils. The children really enjoyed this first lesson and can’t wait for lesson 2 next week!

In our art topic this half term, year 5 are looking at craft and design, specifically architecture. We have looked at houses and buildings so far and have even made our own drawings of houses. Read more
