Year 5 have been working hard this morning solving puzzles using Roman numerals. Here’s a snapshot of today’s maths lesson.

XXth Legion
Year 4 had a fantastic time today on their school trip. They went to Deva Musuem to learn how to become a Roman legionarie and then travelled back in time to live the life of a Roman in the barracks. Here are some clips of our amazing adventure.

Year 4 took advantage of the beautiful sunshine today but practicing dividing by 10 and 100 outside. They really enjoyed moving the numbers and counters to the correct columns.

Norman Castles
After learning all half term about Normans and their castles, we have worked in groups to create a Norman Castle. Here is what the process of creating the castle looked like.

Into the Dojo!
Year 4 had a fantastic morning learning some karate moves from Kaizen Do Karate. We turned the hall into our own personal Dojo and learnt: fighting stands, basic punches and how to break boards. The most important lesson we learnt was that we never practise karate outside the Dojo. Here Read more

Champions!
We had a fantastic time at Rochdale music festival yesterday. Choir sang their hearts out and walked away being the overall winners of the day. Fantastic job choir, well done!
