This week Year 5 have had a special visit from Emma and her crazy creatures. As our current Science topic is ‘Humans and animals overtime’, Emma came to not only to show us her fantastic animals, but also to teach us some amazing facts about them, including their animal kingdoms, their evolution, their food chains and much more. We also had plenty of chances to ask our own questions. We loved meeting all Emma’s crazy creatures  and having the opportunity to hold or stroke them.

First we met Lola the cockapoo , who is a service/ working dog. We saw how she helps aid a boy of similar age to us with his anxiety due to autism, and learnt how he rounds up Emma’s 36 rabbits from the garden and gets them back in their cages at night. We also met and held: centipedes, leopard geckos, Miss many legs the tarantula, Belinda the blue tongued skink, Blaze the chameleon, Mr Boggles and Beau the Bearded dragons, Woody the Boa Constrictor snake, Reggie, Ralph and Remi the Chinchillas, Dobbie the Horsefield tortoise and Fred the Sulcata tortoise.

We really enjoyed having our visitors with us and some of us even manged to overcome our animal fears.
