In our learning for life session this morning, we were learning about people who help us. We talked about people in our families or friends who help us when we’re feeling different emotions and what they do. Finley shared “Grandma gives me biscuits when I am sad”.
We then talked about people whose job it is to help us such as police officers, fire fighters, vets and doctors. Some of the children shared that one of their adults at home is a person who helps us. Freddie said “my dad is a police officer!”
We then got in a circle and joined in with the help Teddy activity. Teddy had lots of things go wrong, for example his house set on fire! The children decided which person would help Teddy and then the child dressed up as that occupation acted out helping Teddy. He was very grateful.
