Yesterday, Year 4 Hawthorn visited St Peter’s Primary School to meet up with their linking partners, and everyone was thrilled to see their friends again.

During the day, we took part in two exciting workshops. In the first, we worked with an artist to explore a range of printing techniques. Taking turns with our linking partners, we created drawings that represented ourselves and our families. We then learned how to transfer these designs onto tiles and paint them.

In the afternoon, we enjoyed a lively beatboxing workshop. As part of this session, we were lucky enough to see a real-life Lowry painting. Inspired by this, we each chose a stick-figure character and developed a detailed character profile. We then transformed these profiles into rhyming raps, which we recorded to be set to music at a later stage.

It was sad to say goodbye to our St Peter’s friends again but we will hopefully see them again soon!
