Birch had a wonderful trip to the Lowry this week.
They learned all about the famous artist L.S Lowry and his artwork. During the visit, the children had the opportunity to explore the gallery and see his original paintings up close.
The children completed workshops with two different artists. One was a sketching workshop, where the children had the opportunity to create sketches with different media. The other was a painting workshop; the children created beautiful paintings, inspired by Lowry, using water colours. 
Everyone had a fantastic day and the class really enjoyed learning about this important, local artist.
