In our science topic, we have been looking at properties and changes. Year 5 carried out an experiment to test thermal conductivity. The children had 4 cups per group and wrapped each one in a different material – aluminium foil, bubble wrap and newspaper. The children’s cups were then filled with hot water and they monitored the temperature of the water in each up every five minutes over a period of half an hour. This allowed the children to see which material was the best insulator. Well done, Juniper!
