Year 4 had a fantastic time this afternoon as we went down to the River Roch in Queen’s Park. The children spotted meanders and signs of erosion, transportation and deposition. They were amazing at explaining what each meant. They noticed signs of pollution and discussed why this was bad for the river. We carried out an investigation to find out the speed at which the water in the river was flowing and used trundle wheels and stop watches to help us to do this.

This looks so interesting and fun Year 4. Year 3 Birch enjoyed looking at this post and say they are really looking forward to doing this next year.
