We have been loving Forest School this half term. This session we linked our learning to our science topic about animals and were they live the children sorted the animals into groups.

During this half term, Year 1 are focusing on smoothies. So far we have named fruit and vegetables and understood where they grow. For today’s lesson we practiced our cutting and juicing skills ready to make our smoothies! We spoke about being safe and how to use the equipment properly

Creating sculptures
To complete our sculpture focus during our art lesson, we worked together create a 3D sculpture. We created a gigantic spider. We worked together to fold and roll news paper and then attach pieces together to create the legs, arms and body of the spider.
