Year 3 Birch – Christmas cards
We had lots of fun using the stencils to create our Christmas cards. We used a sponge to create a colourful background.

Our hour of coding was spent completing a Minecraft coding challenge. We absolutely loved this and figured out how to make our Minecraft character move using code.
Year 2 were questioned by the Geography lead to see if they could remember key facts from their lessons from Year 1 and 2. They used Santa to show their understanding. They did so well remembering the continents, the oceans and the 4 point compass.

Birch loved this lesson on place value. They made numbers with the place value counters and added these up or taking away, looking for any exchanges needed. They showed great problem solving skills and listening skills throughout.
We popped on some Christmassy music and did our mile around our playground! We absolutely loved it but we were all tired by the end of it!
We did really well chopping and peeling the vegetables using the equipment. They learned some chopping techniques and how to hold the food still so they didn’t cut their fingers. The claw grip and bridge grip were used to help with this. Well done Year 3!
