This afternoon in Reception we have been learning about Bonfire Night. We have learnt about Guy Fawkes and we have discussed how we celebrate Bonfire Night. We have also been talking about how we can keep safe at bonfires and with fireworks. Lots of us are very excited to be going to a bonfire tonight. Some of us have already been to a bonfire!

To celebrate Bonfire Night we have been creating firework pictures. We have used a range of materials to create different pictures. We have been using glitter glue, chalk, paint with sticks and cotton buds and printing with toilet rolls in paint. It has been lots of fun!

We have then been outside to create big firework pictures on the floor. We got a little bit messy but we had lots of fun! We all took a handful of powder paint, thought of a sound that we wanted our firework to make and then threw the paint on the floor whilst saying our sound. Our fireworks were very colourful and very loud!

Well done everyone you have created amazing fireworks!

Wow! This looks like so much fun Reception. Year 3 Birch think your bonfire pictures look fantastic. We especially love the powder paint firework. Well done!
