We have all enjoyed reading ‘Room on the Broom’ this week. Reception have been very busy making potions to help the witch, acting out the story and creating their own characters.

Reception have been talking about how we can keep ourselves safe if we are visiting bonfires or fireworks. We have then been making our own firework patterns.

Diwali
Reception have enjoyed learning about Diwali. We have been making rangoli patterns, Diwali cards, Rama and Sita masks and taste testing food. We also enjoyed some dancing to end our day!

Wiggle Worship
We have enjoyed Wiggle Worship this week. The children have enjoyed dancing with Wiggle, reading a Bible story, reflecting on the story and finishing with a prayer.

Colour Mixing
We have been reading the story, ‘The Colour Monster’ this week. Everyone has then been focusing on colour mixing. We have all enjoyed exploring colour mixing in different ways.
French
European Day of Languages
We have all had a fantastic day! We have had a French breakfast, learnt a Spanish dance, learning different languages, making flags, and building famous landmarks.

Settling into Reception
Reception have had an excellent week settling into school. They have all made lots of new friends and enjoyed exploring their new environment. Well done children!

Shared Learning and Lunch
The children loved having their parents and grandparents in class with them today. They enjoyed showing all the areas and talking about how we have been learning about mini beasts. They also enjoyed eating lunch together in the hall. Thank you all for coming.
