This week has been British Science Week, we did an experiment to explore how different sized particles interact with our respiratory system. We used different sized sieves and colanders, chickpeas, pasta, rice and sand to simulate how we breathe in and filter the air around us.
We made a prediction and noted down the observations. We found out that our respiratory system filters out larger particles which could affect our breathing.
