This half term we have been looking after our own butterflies.
A parcel arrived in Reception and we were very excited. When we opened it, there was tiny little caterpillars inside it. We looked after them and gave them some food. Then they became a lot bigger! After a couple of weeks, the caterpillars went into a chrysalis. They stayed in their chrysalis for about a week and then out popped a beautiful beautiful! We have all enjoyed taking care of our butterflies and learning the life cycle.
