Working in pairs, we investigated colour mixing using both primary and secondary colours.

We fixed paper into a tray and used a wide brush to coat the paper with a thin layer of water. We then took turns choosing two primary colours, squeezing or pressing the paint onto the damp paper and then tilting the tray to allow the paint to spread and mix on the surface. We noticed primary colours blending to make secondary colours.

We then experimented with what happens when you mix two secondary colours and how we can make secondary colours lighter or darker.
