This half term in Computing Club, we have had lots of fun exploring many different areas of computing and technology. The children have enjoyed taking part in a range of exciting hands-on activities that helped develop their coding, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
We used Hour of Code to complete interactive coding challenges, where the children learned how to follow and create algorithms using simple programming blocks. Using the iPads, we explored a variety of coding games that encouraged creativity and logical thinking in a fun and engaging way.
We also used Purple Mash to complete a superhero-themed coding activity, where the children programmed characters and created their own sequences of instructions. Another highlight of the half term was using the Micro:bits, where the children experimented with programming and technology in a practical way. We also enjoyed working with the Bee-Bots, practising directional language and programming the robots to move around different courses and challenges.
It has been a fantastic half term full of creativity, teamwork, and exciting learning experiences in computing.
