This morning, the children walked in and found that our class elves had been listening to our English lessons and had written their own ‘Christmas Star’ story.
However, when the children began to read the Elf’s work, they noticed quite a few mistakes. We decided we would help them improve by editing their work. The adults photocopied the story and we set to work with our purple polishing pens, looking for and correcting mistakes. We found spelling mistakes, missing full stops and capital letters, words written in the wrong tense and missing/ incorrect use of commas, question marks, exclamation marks and inverted commas.
