In year 2 we have been learning about the differences and similarities of school now vs then. We have been discussing what has changed and what has stayed the same, including what a classroom looked like!
This lesson we were lucky enough to get a loan box from a museum including artefacts from Victorian schools such as: chalk and slate, handwriting books, an attendance medal etc.
The children loved being able to see how different school resources were and discussing the differences and similarities.
