Year 4 had a fantastic time in today’s maths lesson as part of Financial Awareness Week! We took part in some of the NatWest How Money Works activities, which really got us thinking about how we earn and spend money.

Each child started with £7 in their piggy bank and moved around the classroom to different stations where decision-making cards were placed. They had to make smart choices, track their spending, and see how their money changed depending on the decisions they made.

Unsurprisingly, the children loved the cards that allowed them to earn more money—much more than the ones where they had to spend it!
