This afternoon, Year 5 have enjoyed taking part in the Great Science Share. Children completed the Egg Parachute Challenge investigating different materials that would protect the egg from breaking when dropped.  As a class we thought about the strengths and weaknesses of the different materials and identifying which material would be most suitable to protect the egg. Working scientifically we, made predictions, discussed variables (which variable to change, which variables to keep the same , to make it a fair test), followed the method, recorded results and concluded our findings. Year 5, thoroughly enjoyed designing and creating their Egg Parachutes with the aim to save their eggs.
