In science this half term, we have been learning about evolution. This lesson looked at how humans have evolved over time and how they became successful predators. We discussed how humans learned to use tools to gather foods, which meant they were more likely to survive as they could get more food. We then enjoyed making bows and arrows outside. We also discussed how humans could make and use fire to scare bigger animals away and cook food. Everyone then had a turn at using a flint and steel to light their own fires. We also talked about how humans made clothing and shelters to protect themselves from the weather. Children enjoyed making their own clothes and having an early humans fashion show!
