Letters from the Lighthouse

As part of our WW2 topic, we have been studying the book ‘Letters from the Lighthouse’.

We looked at writing newspaper reports based on an air raid that the two main characters, Olive and Cliffe, found themselves caught up in whilst visiting the theatre.

After reporting on the event, we also got the chance to visit the immersive room to see what it would have been like during this air raid.

We then rewrote the opening of the book, changing the setting we would like the air raid to take place. This included a number of interesting settings from schools to factories.
