Year 5 had their first session back at Forest School and had a fantastic time. This half term, we are linking our forest school sessions with stories from the Bible and reflecting on what they mean to us. First we were put into teams and thought about belonging to a team. The children agreed on a team logo and used mud to paint their logo.

This week the theme was lost and found. In pairs, the children took it in turns to hide some treasure and give instructions on how to find it. We then played hide and seek in the forest school area. We talked about how it would feel if you never found your treasure, or if they were never found in hide and seek. The children reflected on how it links in their lives and told stories of times they had been lost and found.

Around the fire circle, we read the story of the lost sheep and the lost coin. We discussed how sometimes people can make wrong choices or lose their faith and how it might feel to find God.
