This half term Maple have been learning all about Migration in Geography. We’ve learnt about why people migrate and how this affects people and places. We’ve investigated some of the push and pull factors that cause people to leave particular countries and the reasons for why they might stay in a particular country. We enjoyed learning about the Windrush Generation and how they helped to rebuild Britain after the Second World War. We also created our own migrant profiles after researching ‘real life’ migrants and their reasons for moving to another country. We also spent some time discussing the war in the Ukraine and how the people have been forced from their country due to war.

Enjoy reading some of the essays we wrote at the end of the topic to ‘show off’ all of our learning!
