Electrical Circuits

Juniper are learning about electrical circuits this half term. We have looked at the different components that make a circuit. We’ve learnt their symbols and had a go at making some circuits. We discussed what effect removing certain components from a circuit may have, then we put these into practise. Read more…

Dribbling skills

This half term Juniper are learning to play Hockey. This afternoon we have learnt how to hold the hockey stick correctly and dribble with the ball. We had a go at dribbling and changing direction, as well as sending and returning the ball to each others hockey stick.

Juniper enjoyed a lesson with their families this morning. It was lovely to see the joy on their faces. We all worked together, thinking about the Christian value of ‘Love’ to decorate a plant pot ready for Valentines Day. Each child planted a sweetpea inside the pot. Please enjoy the Read more…

Finding the whole

Juniper have been working on ‘finding the whole’ in Maths this morning. We have used our knowledge of finding fractions of amounts and our times tables to calculate the answers. We’ve drawn some fantastic bar models to visualise and calculate. These have really helped us in our learning.  

The 4 R’s

This afternoon Juniper have had a visit from Rochdale’s environment education officer. They have learnt all about the 4r’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Recover.
