Today, the whole school took part in an online reading event that attempted to set a new Guinness world record for the most people reading online in 12 hours as part of National Year of Reading.
Year 1 joined author Rashmi Sirdeshpande and illustrator Nakul. We listened to Rashmi’s book before Nakul taught us how to draw one of the characters. Linking to the story, we also spoke about items we would have in our ‘happy place’ and added these to our drawings.
Finally, everyone who joined the live, read for 10minutes.
