Today year 6 took part in a workshop delivered by Rochdale Pioneer Museum. The workshop consolidated all their knowledge from our topic this half term.
The children focused on key vocabulary such as: Victorian Era, Industrial Revolution, agriculture, trading and cotton.
The children took part in games, role play and hands on activities focusing on life in Victorian Rochdale from Cotton Mill Kings, to the lives of the working poor’s stinking sewers to spoiled food and how 28 working men in Rochdale sought to change that life, forever!
