Throughout the day, Year 6 had to opportunity to remember those who lost their lives at war making a better life for us. Firstly, both classes walked to the local cenotaph to lay our schools’ poppy wreath. Children paid their respects by completing two minutes silence and then discussing why we complete those two minutes silence and what the purpose was.

In the afternoon the children made a poppy using a split pin and then they completed a water coloured painting and produced beautiful poems about ‘remembering the fallen ones’. The children were extremely respectful throughout the day, well done.
