This week in science, year 5 juniper have been creating some solutions. To begin our lesson, we did the skittles solution experiment where we watched the colours dissolve and turn into a solution whilst creating a rainbow.
The children then carried out an experiment to see if the temperature of the water had an effect on how quickly a sugar cube would dissolve. The children really enjoyed carrying out this test and found out that the hotter the water, the quicker the sugar cube dissolved.
