Yesterday we took part in the live online lesson “Spaceship Earth”, an exciting and interactive space-themed STEM experience that brought learning to life.

During the session, Maple learnt how satellites are launched into space and how they orbit the Earth to collect vital information. We discovered how satellites are used to track animals, helping scientists protect wildlife, and how they play an important role in monitoring climate change.

The lesson also explored how space technology supports clean energy solutions and how the UK Space Industry is helping to tackle the climate crisis. By stepping into the roles of space engineers and scientists, pupils gained a deeper understanding of how science and technology can be used to protect our planet.

The session was inspiring, informative, and sparked lots of thoughtful discussion — leaving our children excited about space, science, and caring for the Earth.
