As part of our history unit ‘Movers and Shakers’ and Black History month, we have been learning about Rosa Parks. We have learned about the impact she has had. She was arrested when she refused to give up her seat for a white passenger on a bus.

We used a paper plate to recreate our own designs of Clarice Cliffs ‘Circle Tree’ plate, we used bright colours to paint circles and finishing by using black paint and a straw to blow a tree design.
In history, we have been leaving about Christopher Columbus. We had to ‘explore’ the playground to find out facts about his life. We had to search for pictures of his ship to help answer questions. We worked really well together to find all of the answers.
