This afternoon year 3&4 got a visit from a scientist. He spoke with us about all the exciting careers we could have in science and taught us more about our topic ‘light and sound’. We completed some fun experiments too!
We had so much fun learning about oracle bones with our adults. We made them out of clay and then carved simple Chinese symbols into them with the tools provided. After that, we had some delicious lunch together. We really enjoyed sharing our learning with our adults.
We reminded ourselves of the role of an artist and looked specifically at the artist Georgia O-Keefe. We then created an abstract oil pastel picture inspired by her work. Take a look at these, they are fantastic! We used the oil pastels to create colour, texture and shading.
We had lots of fun using the stencils to create our Christmas cards. We used a sponge to create a colourful background.
