Year 3 and Year 4 walked up to St Luke’s church this morning for our Christingle service. We spoke about the history of Christingle’s and sang some songs to everybody who came to watch. We finished with ‘We wish you a Merry Christmas’ which we sang but also signed.
We did really well chopping and peeling the vegetables using the equipment. They learned some chopping techniques and how to hold the food still so they didn’t cut their fingers. The claw grip and bridge grip were used to help with this. Well done Year 3!

We loved visiting the church and learning everything about Harvest time and why we may celebrate this. We did lots of activities such as clay pot making, paper boat origami, bread tasting and more!

After relay races, sack races and three legged races we went onto our stations where we had lots of fun challenging ourselves with the activities on offer. well done to all the children and parents! We had a blast!
We had a great time at the competition on Thursday! We were so pleased that we came joint 2nd place with All Soul’s CE Primary School. We received our medals at school the next day and we were so pleased! Take a look below.
