This half-term focus ‘Essential skill’ has been Teamwork. This afternoon we gave Year 1 lots of challenges to put their teamwork skills to the test! In the challenges given, they had to communicate well using speaking and listening skills. They also had to be creative and problem solve, together.
We completed caterpillar races, under and over, had to move a hoop across the row of our team without letting go of hands, move across the ‘water’ with only 2 islands to get across, and build a structure using spaghetti and marshmallows!
The staff were really impressed with our teamwork with some children even winning prizes for their incredible communication skills!
