In our class reflective worship this week, we thought about the time of advent. We discussed how this time of year is an exciting time but can also be a difficult/sad time for some people. We then thought about courageous advocacy, the inspirational people we have read about and our Christian values, before writing an advent promise. We had some lovely, kind thoughts and ideas such as “I will pray everyday for people to have somewhere warm to be at Christmas”, “I promise to try to make people happy by smiling at them and saying a Merry Christmas” and “I promise to be kind and respectful to everyone”.
For each day of advent, we will pick a promise to add to our Christmas tree and try our best to achieve it that day.
