Random Act of Kindness
Juniper have been litter picking in the park today as part of St Luke’s ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ Day. All the children were extremely enthusiastic and eager to find as much litter as they could!

Finding the whole
Juniper have been working on ‘finding the whole’ in Maths this morning. We have used our knowledge of finding fractions of amounts and our times tables to calculate the answers. We’ve drawn some fantastic bar models to visualise and calculate. These have really helped us in our learning.

The 4 R’s
This afternoon Juniper have had a visit from Rochdale’s environment education officer. They have learnt all about the 4r’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Recover. Christingle Celebration
Juniper have been to church this morning for their Christingle celebration. They were all absolutely amazing! Fantastic singing and actions during our performance and they were all a credit to the school. Well done everyone!

Investigating chemical reactions
This afternoon we have been investigating chemical reactions. We observed the effect of changing the amount of vinegar on the reaction with sodium bicarbonate. Super Spreadsheets
Juniper have been working hard to create some spreadsheets this afternoon. We used the letters of the alphabet as our variables. The counting tool helped us to identify which vowel was used the most in our text and the frequency that the consonants were used.
