Year 5 enjoyed an exciting visit to Newhouse Academy today, where they took part in a hands-on science lesson all about chemical reactions. During the session, the children worked like real scientists, using a range of laboratory equipment to carry out experiments and observe how different substances react when combined. They were fascinated to see colour changes, fizzing reactions, and even temperature differences as the experiments took place. The experience not only helped them understand the science behind chemical reactions but also gave them the opportunity to develop their investigative skills in a real lab setting. It was a fun and memorable day that brought their classroom learning to life.
