Today, the whole school celebrated Children’s Mental Health Week by coming to school wearing their clothes inside out. This lead our learning about talking about our feelings on the inside and how we keep good, positive mental health.

We discussed our 5 ways to wellbeing, and took part in an activity for each of the ways.

To CONNECT, we played ‘5 minute friendship’ in which we paired up with someone in the class that we don’t often talk to/ play with. We had 5 minutes to chat with them and find out about our differences and similarities as well as anything else we would like to know.

To BE ACTIVE, we got our hearts racing by taking part in various movement breaks

To TAKE NOTICE, we did some mindful meditation

To LEARN NEW THINGS, we watched a video which taught us how to say ‘Hello’ in 15 different languages and tried to remember a s many as we could.

To GIVE, we talked about little things we had already done that day, such as holding a door open for someone or helping someone with their work. We also decided on other ways we can ‘give’ over the weekend.

The children have had lots of fun completing these activities!
