Today we learned about how Christians celebrate Easter.
First, we talked about the different ways Christians celebrate, including special church services like Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. We learned that these services help Christians remember the Easter story.
We then explored different Easter symbols. We talked about the cross, which reminds Christians of Jesus, eggs which represent new life, and flowers which show new beginnings. We also looked at colours like white and gold, which are used to show joy and celebration.
After that, we used our learning to create our own adverts for an Easter service. We thought carefully about which symbols and colours to include in our posters. We made sure our adverts showed the meaning of Easter and invited people to join the celebration.
We really enjoyed being creative and thinking about how Easter is a time of both sadness and happiness for Christians.
