This week, we have celebrated Easter and learnt about the Easter story and Palm Sunday.
Yesterday we were very busy on an Easter hunt. Everyone had an Easter hunt checklist and we had to find the objects around the Reception area. We found lots of Easter pictures around our classroom, Snowdrop’s classroom and the hall. Once we had found a picture on our list, we had to tick it off until we had found all of them.
Everyone worked really hard to find all of the pictures and we helped our friends to find theirs too. It was good team work!
The children have also made their own Easter chocolate nest cake. The children helped to melt the chocolate, crumble the cereal into the bowl, stir the ingredients and spoon the mixture into the cupcake cases. They can’t wait to take them home and eat them!
This morning the children have taken part in an Easter egg hunt. They needed to collect as many plastic eggs as they could and look out for the special golden eggs! It was lots of fun. Well done to the winners from Snowdrops and Bluebells who collected lots of eggs and won the chocolate bunnies.
