This week in Science, Year 1 have been learning a song about the different parts of a plant, along with actions to help them remember the function of each part. They labelled the parts of a flower and learned to identify each one.
The children also explored the difference between wild and garden flowers. As part of this, they went on a flower hunt around the school grounds, using an identification key to name each flower and decide whether it was a wild or a garden variety.
