During our Learning for Life lesson, children started a class discussion by sharing different emotions that they had felt today. Children were able to explore appropriate vocabulary related to emotions by playing ‘Emotions Bingo’ and describe the intensity of emotions by completing the ‘Emotions Synonyms’ activity. During the class discussion, children shared their ideas about how emotions can affect wellbeing and physical/mental health. Together, we defined the word resilience before completing a ‘Building Resilience’ activity, which promoted strategies to develop confidence. Well done Year 5 for your superb engagement and contribution during this lesson showing your understanding of emotional health, wellbeing, mental health, and resilience.
