In our Learning for Life lesson today, children were able to identify the risk factors in a given situation and consider the outcomes of risk taking in the situation. First of all, we discussed the term ‘taking a risk’ and collated different ideas of how we take risks every day. For example, crossing the road is taking a risk but we manage that by crossing it safely. Children were given a scenario and created a ‘Corridor of Thought’ to identify the factors and outcomes of risk taking in that situation. To conclude, children then generated answers to different questions about ‘risk taking’. Well done Year 5, keep up your hard work!
