During our LGBT+ History Month collective worship, we learned about the theme of science and innovation and why it is important to recognise the contributions of LGBT+ people throughout history.
We talked about how science and innovation help make the world a better place and how many inventors, scientists, and thinkers have made important discoveries by being curious, creative, and brave. We discussed how everyone should feel able to be themselves, as people often do their best thinking and learning when they are accepted and valued.
The worship helped us understand that diversity is a strength and that different ideas, experiences, and perspectives can lead to amazing innovations. We reflected on how being kind, respectful, and inclusive helps everyone feel confident to share their ideas and talents.
