As part of their RE topic exploring how different faiths care for the environment, Year 5 enjoyed a walk to our local park to investigate the world around them. During the visit, the children looked for “wows” and “ows” – identifying the positive aspects of the environment as well as areas that could be improved. They discovered lots of “wows”, including beautiful natural features and well-cared-for spaces, and were pleased to find only a few “ows”. The trip encouraged thoughtful discussions about caring for our world and the responsibility we all share in protecting it. The children behaved exceptionally well throughout the visit and represented the school brilliantly with their positive attitudes and excellent manners.
